The Forgotten Field

“I pray every day that this love dies away, that I love you just until today, and that by tomorrow, this love will die.”
Thalia Roem Grta, the unfortunate princess, is the outcome of an illegitimate affair. While growing up, she went through turbulence in between her indifferent parents, hostile half-siblings, and servants who belittled her. Thalia, with developed thorns of her own, protected herself from anyone coming near her. In doing so, she appeared impervious. Yet, even that innocence was lost with this one person. This was none but the East Prince, Barkas Raedgo Sherekan.
Conditioned to be perfect as a retainer of the imperial court and the heir of the Grand Duke, his most overwhelming of emotions numbed with the strictness which bordered upon abuse. He existed only for the honour and duty of his family. He married Thalia’s half-sister, Ayla, to keep a promise that was made by his deceased Empress, whereas Thalia, sometime after that, was slumping slowly into despair.
However, death was playing with their love when it found a major turn.
